WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 (TNSLrpt) -- Pacific Northwest National Laboratory issued Report No. PNNL-33799, 'Initial Testing of Wave Energy Powered UV-C LED Anti-Biofouling System', by Milan Minsky, Linnea E. Weicht, and Nichole K. Sather. The study, prepared for the U.S. Department of Energy under Contract DE-AC05-76RL01830, examined whether a wave-energy-powered ultraviolet light system could limit biological growth on equipment used by buoy-mounted ocean sensors.
