Federal Register: CPSC Issues Direct Final Rule on Removal of Obsolete or Unnecessary Requirements

WASHINGTON, July 23 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is reviewing its regulations to reduce regulatory burdens and costs. Pursuant to this review, CPSC has identified several obsolete or unnecessary provisions that are being removed or amended in this direct final rule. The changes in this rule will not affect consumer safety.

Comments are due on August 24, 2026, according to a Federal Register notice.
