NRC Opens Hearing Process For Radiant Nuclear Microreactor Fuel License
WASHINGTON, July 26 (TNSFR) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is accepting hearing requests on Radiant Nuclear LLC, El Segundo, California's application to possess nuclear material in Tennessee. The application covers Radiant's planned R-50 microreactor facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where the company seeks authorization to possess coated uranium fuel particles enriched to less than 20 weight percent uranium-235 and load the fuel into assemblies for commercial microreactors. NRC Seeks Comments On EnergySolutions Radioactive Waste Export License
WASHINGTON, July 26 (TNSFR) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is seeking public comments and hearing requests on EnergySolutions Services Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah's application to amend and renew its license to export radioactive waste to Canada. The application, submitted May 14, 2026, would renew the existing license for 10 years through December 31, 2036.
